DAY 1: HANOI – THAI NGUYEN – BA BE LAKE   (-/L/D)
 In the morning, depart for your overland journey to the North East of Vietnam. Your first stop will be in Thai Nguyen to visit the Ethnology Museum. Learn more about the cultures of the various ethnic minority groups of Vietnam. Afterwards, we continue our journey to Ba Be Lake with lunch en route.
In Ba Be enjoy a 3-hour boat trip downstream the Nang River into Ba Be Lake. Experience the peace and tranquility of the unspoiled tropical jungle, emerald waters, limestone mountains and the tribal lifestyle.

DAY 2: BA BE LAKE – CAO BANG – PAC PO CAVE – CAO BANG    (B/L/D)
 Depart to Cao Bang (120 km - driving time approximately 4 hours). In the afternoon, drive to Pac Po to visit the former headquarters of the Vietnamese revolutionaries. Here, Ho Chi Minh used to live in a cave nearby a beautiful stream in early 1941, when he re-entered Vietnam after 30 years of living abroad in search for ways to liberate the nation from French colonialism. Enjoy the beautiful landscapes dotted with villages of the Tay and Nung ethnic minorities. Drive back to Cao Bang.

DAY 3 :CAO BANG – BAN DOC WATERFALL – CAO BANG    (B/L/D)
Visit Ban Doc Waterfall (Trung Khanh) and enjoy the very nice scenery with water reeling handmade by the Nung people and which brings water from the stream to the rice fields.
Short trek to visit the Nguom Ngao Cave, a big and yet unexplored cave with extraordinary natural stalactites (please wear appropriate shoes and shorts, since you most likely will get wet). Continue to Ban Doc Waterfall, which shares the river border with China. Take a boat trip to the waterfall, where you will meet visitors from China, who also come here to enjoy the atmosphere of the famous waterfall on the same river. Return to Cao Bang.

DAY 4 : CAO BANG – HANOI (B/L/-)
Full day drive back to Hanoi via Lang Son.

CANCELLATIONSNS
• Refunds will not be given for unused or cancelled services after the tour arrangements have commenced.

• FIT (Individuals): Cancellation charges are calculated from the day the written notification is received by the company or agent as a percentage of the net total tour price as shown plus any surcharges (e.g. ticketed air sectors, other penalties imposed by suppliers such as hotels):
• Between 29- 21 days before departure:  According to the costs incurred will be charged
• Between 20 days and 15 days prior to departure: 25% of package price
• Between 14 days and 8 days prior to departure: 50% of package price
• Between 07 days and 2 days prior to departure: 75% of package price
• 1 day prior to departure or no show:   100% of package price

• GIT (Groups): Cancellation of tours due to minimum number of participants will be advised 6 weeks before departure of the tour; in which case Happy Go Travel will offer an alternative tour of a similar standard or a full refund. Cancellation policy for GIT bookings will be advised separately case by case.

• HOTEL ONLY
• Between 29- 21 days before departure:  no charge
• Between 20 days and 15 days prior to departure: 60% of accommodation price
• Between 14 days and 0 days prior to departure: 100% of accommodation price

• Certain Hotels impose stricter cancellation policies which will be advised separately.
