3 DAYS CAT BA MEDIUM TREKING TOUR
Private tour (CMT): Daily departure from Hanoi with English or French speaking guide (German speaking guide at surcharge).

This trekking tour to Cat Ba National Park is really wonderful in terms of REAL trekking. You are expected to walk on paths rarely accessed. Enthusiasm and strength are required!

DAY 1: HANOI - HALONG BAY - CAT BA (-/L/D)

Pickup at your hotel in Hanoi. Drive to Halong Bay (165 km east of Hanoi).
Board a wooden boat for a Halong Bay cruise. Discover Halong Bay, which is listed as a World Heritage Area of outstanding natural beauty. “Dragon descending to the sea” as it is known in Vietnamese, picturesque Halong Bay has more than 1,000 limestone islets rising from the sea, many of them containing beautiful grottoes. Fresh seafood lunch is prepared and served on boat.
Arrive at Cat Ba Island and transfer by Moto taxi to the hotel.

DAY 2: CAT BA - TREKING (B/L/D) 
Breakfast at hotel. A short ride by Moto taxi to Ang Va (Va valley), starting point for a 5-hour-trek. Stop at the very nice brackish water lake of Thinh Linh (local name refers to as a "surprise").

Relax for fishing and swimming. You will have a chance to enjoy tasteful "snack" of shrimp and fish - products of the lake itself. Lunch box is provided. Continue to pass the last slope from Thinh Linh lake to Ho Hang Vem (local name of Vem Cave lake). A small boat will be waiting for you here for a transfer to Vem pier, a 30 minute cruise back to Beo pier. Return to the hotel by Moto taxi.

Dinner and overnight.

Optional: Sea kayak activities in Vem Cave can be arranged with surcharge upon request.

DAY 3: CAT BA - HAIPHONG - HANOI (B/L/-)

The morning is at leisure - spend some time on the beach or simply relax. After lunch at the hotel, check-out and transfer to Cat Ba pier, where you board a Russian-built hydrofoil for the 1-hour trip to Haiphong. Transfer to your hotel in Hanoi (2-hours drive - accommodation in Hanoi not included).
