DAY 1: DALAT – ARRIVAL (-/-/-)
Meet on arrival at Dalat / Lien Khuong Airport and transfer to the hotel.

For morning arrivals, interesting optional afternoon excursions in and around Dalat are available at surcharge.

DAY 2: DALAT CITY TOUR AND SURROUNDINGS (B/L/-)
DALAT CITY TOUR
Lying 1,500 m above sea level and surrounded by pine hills, Dalat has been known as the prime hill resort city  thanks to its mild weather, romantic valleys, tranquil lakes surrounded by pine hills, colonial time villas, pagodas and monasteries. Dalat is also the flower festival city of Vietnam.

In the morning, you will visit the bustling local market where farmers came and sell their daily produce. Continue to visit the summer palace of the former emperor Bao Dai. The next stop will be the Hang Nga House, also known as “Crazy House”, a unique piece of art by Madam Viet Nga, a contemporary architect. Finish your tour with a walk through Golden Valley where Bonsais and rare flowers can be admired.

TRUC LAM PAGODA-TUYEN LAM LAKE AND DATANLA WATER FALL
In the afternoon, transfer to Dalat cable car station. Savour the panoramic views of Dalat from the platform and then board the cable car for an enjoyable ride above pine forests and rolling hills to Truc Lam Pagoda – the largest Institute of Meditation in Vietnam.

The pagoda is set amidst pine forests right by the tranquil Tuyen Lam Lake. Opened in 1994 it is the largest pagoda in Dalat, located on Phuong Hoang (Phoenix) mountain, 4 km from Dalat. Visit the pagoda and then take a relaxed boat trip on Tuyen Lam Lake, also known as the lake where rivers, springs and forests meet. Built in the 1980’s, it is one of the largest and most beautiful lakes in the area.

Continue to visit Datanla Waterfall, located in a beautiful valley, 5 km from the city centre. Here you can experience an exciting roller coaster ride. The two-seater cars (48 cars in total) carry visitors over the 1 km long route, meandering through pine forests and gradually descending around 200 meters from the top of the falls to the bottom. The cars are equipped with hand brakes, allowing riders to vary the speed. After having visited the falls, you can either go up by coaster or climb the stairs, following a lovely nature trail.

DAY 3: DALAT –CAT TIEN NATIONAL PARK (B/L/D)
Continue your journey towards the Cat Tien National Park with a stop in Bao Loc, often dubbed as Vietnam’s tea capital.
Arrive at Nam Cat Tien National Park, one of the most important and largest national parks of Vietnam, covering about 278 square miles of lowland forest and swamp home to numerous birds and mammals.

Upon arrival at the park, register and transfer to the Forest Floor Lodge where you will be greeted with a welcome drink. Your afternoon programme includes an introduction of the park and the conservation programmes being implemented.

DAY 4: CAT TIEN NATIONAL PARK (B/L/D)
Life in the park starts early. Around 06:00 hrs, depart for a nice drive along the main trail through the forest (12 km) with opportunities to see pheasants and peafowl. Then, trek for approx. 1.5 km through the forest to Bird Lake. In the dry season the lake is almost dry and the open grassland attracts a variety of birds and mammals. Continue trekking through the forest to a lovely clear stream which has a large spreading fig tree growing over it. Return to the lodge for lunch.

In the afternoon, visit the bear rehabilitation centre. This facility has been established by “Wildlife at Risk” who looks after bears who have been captured for the bile market or pet trade. It is hoped that after some time in rehabilitation some of the endemic bears can be released back into the forest.  Take a walking tour along the track following the river and through the botanical garden. There will be good opportunities to see birds and possibly gibbons. Return to Forest Floor Lodge.

DAY 5: CAT TIEN NATIONAL PARK – HO CHI MINH CITY – DEPARTURE (B/-/-)
Drive to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival, drop off at your hotel or transfer to Tan Son Nhat International Airport at surcharge (accommodation in Ho Chi Minh City is not included).

CANCELLATIONS
• Refunds will not be given for unused or cancelled services after the tour arrangements have commenced.

• FIT (Individuals): Cancellation charges are calculated from the day the written notification is received by the company or agent as a percentage of the net total tour price as shown plus any surcharges (e.g. ticketed air sectors, other penalties imposed by suppliers such as hotels):
• Between 29- 21 days before departure:  According to the costs incurred will be charged
• Between 20 days and 15 days prior to departure: 25% of package price
• Between 14 days and 8 days prior to departure: 50% of package price
• Between 07 days and 2 days prior to departure: 75% of package price
• 1 day prior to departure or no show:   100% of package price

• GIT (Groups): Cancellation of tours due to minimum number of participants will be advised 6 weeks before departure of the tour; in which case Happy Go Travel will offer an alternative tour of a similar standard or a full refund. Cancellation policy for GIT bookings will be advised separately case by case.

• HOTEL ONLY

• Between 29- 21 days before departure:  no charge
• Between 20 days and 15 days prior to departure: 60% of accommodation price
• Between 14 days and 0 days prior to departure: 100% of accommodation price
• Certain Hotels impose stricter cancellation policies which will be advised separately.
